A White Table Tarot New Year Invocation Ritual
Aligning with Divine Order, Flow, and Abundance
Most years, I share a sacred ritual to help you anchor your magic into the rhythms of time and step into your next chapter with clarity and intention. Whether you set your intentions at the beginning of January, or maybe you resonate more with a later true New Year moment such as the Spring Equinox (a nature-based New Year) when the sun enters Aries, or during any other cultural New Year, this ritual is designed to help you clear out the residue of the old cycle, invoke divine guidance for what’s to come, and align your frequency with abundance, peace, and purpose.
1. Preparing the Sacred Space
Begin by creating your sacred space; a white table, altar, or clean surface representing a blank canvas for Spirit to write your next chapter.
2. Gather your tools:
-A white candle for illumination and divine presence
-A glass of water for Spirit and reflection
-A small dish of salt or earth for grounding
-Incense or a smoke bundle for cleansing
-Your tarot deck
-A journal and pencil
3. Purification and Invocation
-Sanctify your space according to your knowledge or heritage.
-Light your candle and incense. Pass your hands through the smoke, letting it clear away tension or lingering heaviness from the year behind you.
-Bless your table and tools by speaking your intention or prayer with presence. Note that I offer the following invocation if needed:
By the elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire, I clear away all stagnant energies of the past. Only light, wisdom, and love remain. May my path unfold in perfect timing and harmony.
-Pour a few drops of water onto your dish of salt or earth, symbolizing renewal and grounding.
4. The Tarot Invocation Spread
Now draw three cards to anchor your year’s energy:
The Lesson of the Past Year – What wisdom you carry forward.
The Energy of the New Year – The frequency you are meant to embody.
The Blessing or Outcome – What Spirit wishes to manifest through you.
Hold each card over your heart and affirm your intention for the New Year.
I offer the following: I receive this message with clarity and courage. I align my choices with Divine Will and highest good.
Spend a few moments journaling your impressions. Let your intuition speak before your mind tries to make sense of it all.
5. The Spoken Invocation
When you feel ready, stand before your white table, hands resting over your heart, and declare aloud:
In the name of Divine Light and all benevolent forces guiding my soul’s evolution, I now invoke my highest timeline for the coming year. May all that unfolds serve the healing of my lineage, the prosperity of my house, and the illumination of my path. I release what no longer serves and call forth miracles in alignment with my divine design. So it is.
6. Sealing the Energy
Anoint yourself by dipping your fingertips in the water and touching your forehead, heart, and palms as you say: I am consecrated to purpose, prosperity, and peace.
Allow the candle to burn for at least 11 minutes or longer if safely attended.
Then close by writing one powerful affirmation beginning with:
“This year, I am the embodiment of…”
Optional Additions
Fixed Candle Work: Dress a white, gold, or green candle with anointing oil and sprinkle with herbs like cinnamon (abundance) or bay (victory).
Ancestor Offering: If you work with your ancestors, leave a small offering that aligns with your heritage. If you’re unsure, you may simply use fruit and a glass of water.
Audio Anchor: Play soft meditative music or other uplifting and healing music that resonates with you as you close your ritual.
My Final Blessing!
Last but not least, from my heart to yours, may your new year open in grace and clarity. May the lessons of your past anchor your strength, and may divine order restore flow in every area of your life.
Your table is set. Your light is lit. The new year is ready to receive you!
